WILLOW SCULPTURE 'TREE OF LIFE'

This Willow Sculpture was commissioned for The Gwanwyn Festival coordinated by Age Concern Cymru for 2008 and was installed at the new Environmental Field Centre at Margam Park in April 2009 for everyone to enjoy.

This Willow Sculpture is a representation of the Gwanwyn Festival logo and is constructed of dried willow. It is interactive with a seat around the outside for people to sit and enjoy the lovely surroundings at Margam www.gwanwyn.org

Willow Sculpture workshop with Coleg Powys Art Students

Here are some photos of the Coleg Powys of Newtown Art students participating in a Willow Sculpure workshop that I facilitated with them. It was a fun day with some interesting sculptures coming out from it.

This was in partnership with The Wool and Willow Festival at The Minerva Arts Centre, Llanidloes, Powys from 6th June to 27th June open every day including Sundays from 10.30 - 4.30 The annual Festival celebrates the best of local artists working with Wool and/or Willow. This years event Showcases makers to a very high standard and also has a extensive 'Learning Curve' programme of workshops so you can learn a new skill to if you wish.
